Cover – LUSSORI Concours de Luxe Catalogue

Cover for LUSSORI, a manufacturer and dealership for luxury timepieces and luxury jewelry. LUSSORI is located in Carmel (California / USA), a city that is also well known for the annual classic car week with its showcase, the ‘Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance’. Lussori used my image on the cover of the mid-2008 catalogue that was especially dedicated to this world famous event (hence its titled ‘Councours De Luxe’).

First conducted in 1950, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is often said to be the world’s premier celebration of the automobile. Only the most beautiful and rare automobiles are featured  and connoisseurs of art and technology congregate to see them.

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance celebrates attention to detail, a commitment to perfection and the resulting pleasure to be found in what is, quite simply, the best.

Each year the Concours draws together tens of thousands of the world’s automotive aficionados and connoisseurs of culture. Famed designers, racing greats, captains of industry and a multitude of media representatives covering automotive and lifestyle trends are all a part of the mix.

Classic cars are displayed with the beauty of Pebble Beach as their backdrop. Concept cars, prototypes and the very latest models are often unveiled on the upper lawn of The Lodge at Pebble Beach.
Paired with the Concours, there are auctions and sales, special exhibitions of art and automobilia, dinners and parties, and even fashion shows.
