Gallery Stock – Famous Masters Of Photography
Gallery Stock – licensing images of the world’s premier photographers. The world famous agency is specialised in licensing images of contemporary top photographers, filling a unique niche in the world of stock photography.
I’m honored to complement their premium list of photographers as from now. Joel Meyerowitz, Nadav Kander, Anthony Suau, Stephen Shore, Larry Fink, Massimo Vitali, Mitch Epstein, Simon Stock, Hiroshi Watanabe, Stephen Wilkes, Ewen Spencer, Julia Fullerton-Batten, Sally Gall- just a few of the very famous names, among others, on Gallery Stock’s roster. The very best of commercial and fine art photographers. Quality is key.
Starting in March 2009, Gallery Stock takes charge of the worldwide exclusive licenses of some of my photographs.
Gallery Stock operates offices in New York and London, and new offices are planned for Germany and Singapore. The Stock Photography agency was founded 5 years ago as a joint venture between the the very reputable photographer representatives Bill Charles and Bernstein & Andriulli. Both agencies represent commercial photographers who are responsible for many of the top campaigns in the world. As Howard Bernstein states “Our aim is to have the highest level museum and gallery artists living today” and “We want to be known as an artist-first stock agency“.
Primarily Gallery Stock was established as an additional outlet for licensing images of the photographers on the rep’s roster. Over time other photographers, especially fine art photographers, have been added as well. A client will now find a wealthy and unique mixture of commercial and fine art photographers at Gallery Stock’s library.
Gallery Stock keeps it’s photographer roster ‘hand picked’ and in the meantime the roster is very well established in the industry. Editors, image editors, art buyers and art directors use Gallery Stock’s roster to notice new and fresh talents. And also curators, gallery owners, art dealers and art collectors use the list to discover artists arising.
Gallery Stock licences across the board, so editorially works with the higher end publications: Le Monde, Republica, John Brown, Wardour and Penguin, etc. Advertising-wise it’s all the big agencies across Europe and in the States and across the world for press campaigns.
The Gallery Stock website is very polished and therefore easy no navigate. A client can type in the desired terms in a search box or quickly look up a photographers work in a list, ordered by the photographer’s surnames. The imagery is kept on the tight side and a client must not wade through 1000′s of crap images. Again, the quality of the work is key.
In 2008 Gallery Stock wins the prestigious 24th PDN (Photo District News) / Nikon Promo Award for the category ‘Rep Firm/Stock Agency Promotions’.
