My photographs are published as fine art prints in 1/1 Editions, in strictly Limited Editions, as well as in Open Editions.
1/1 Editions & Limited Edition Fine Art Prints
Most limited edition photographs are issued as 1/1 editions and only ONE print of the photograph will ever exist. A few photographs are strictly limited to a total edition number of 2 or 3 prints max. Prices and image sizes vary on individual photographs.
Limited edition prints are dated, numbered and signed en verso. This certifies that the print is part of a limited edition as well as a genuine reproduction, inspected and numbered by me. The signature also attests that the total edition will not be exceeded and no additional editions of the work, regardless of size and media, are issued.
By MY definition “Limited Edition” means: Those are the ONE & ONLY prints of the photographs that EVER will exist. NO other sizes, NO other papers, NO other media, NO whatsoever – just those stated editions. Finito!
In addition to the stated edition run, Artist Proofs and Artist Prints (AP) might exist for exhibitions, competitions or to proof a print run. In general, the number of APs will be restricted to one or two prints.
All Limited Editions are featured on the Homepage http://reinfriedmarass.com and labeled accordingly with the edition run, images size, price and number of APs.
Open Edition Fine Art Prints
All photographs NOT included on the Homepage and flagged as limited edition are released as Open Edition Prints and are priced as follows. Due to different aspect ratios sizes can vary:
● Image Size 45 x 30 cm / 18 x 12 inches – Price € 380.-
● Image Size 60 x 40 cm / 24 x 16 inches – Price € 650.-
● Image Size 80 x 53 cm / 31 x 20 inches – Price € 900.-
Fine Art Papers, Quality, Printmaking
Enthusiasts and collectors ask for the highest quality and value. Only the very best premium fine art papers by Moab and by Hahnemühle in archival quality and a heavy grammage (of around 300 gsm) are used.
Furthermore, to secure highest quality levels, all prints are done in Germany by certified master printmakers on state-of-the-art printing machines.
Since each single print is custom hand printed, and it is considered as an individual work of art, there will be inherently be some variations from print to print.
Archiv quality and certified longevity are important factors for high priced art prints and for a stable value. All used fine art papers are tested and certified by recognized standardized processes and only high archival premium pigment inks are applied.
Quality criteria are the same for limited editions and open edition prints.
Image Size vs. Print Size
Listed image sizes refer to the actual motive area. Prints are slightly larger in size due to a wide white margin to enhance mounting and handling.
Worldwide shipping. Shipping flat-packed or shipping in round tubes. Mounting should be done by a local professional shop. To care for the prints, never display it in strong ultraviolet radiation, such as direct sunlight, and never without proper framing, ideally including UV filtering glass.
